Bye bye 2010, Hello 2011!
“New Year’s Day – Now is the accepted time to make your regular annual good resolutions. Next week you can begin paving hell with them as usual.” - Mark Twain
I have never before really cared for new year resolutions, no one ever keeps them, but I thought I have achived so much this last year, and I want to achieve more so why not! Hopefully I wont start paving hell with them for a bit longer than a week, but meh.
So here are some (the others I am keeping secret in case I fail at them).
- On New Years Eve I received my first wholesale order from a retail store called Juffies. Over Christmas they have been selling my tree decorations as a tester and decided they wanted to stock some of my children’s cushions, bags and keyrings. So before this year is out I want to find another retail store that wants to stock my creations too. (maybe even two stores, but I don’t want to get greedy).
- I an going to develop a final design for my website and stick with it for more than 3 months. I will be 100% happy with it and stop changing my mind!
- I am going to get my new items listed on my webshop and Etsy in a timely fashion and not wait 1 month before I get around to it! (I am terribly bad for this)
- I will try not to do draft “to do” lists, and rather just make “to do” lists. (I waste so much time re-writing the list in order of importance!)
- Some nights I will take off from sewing and just sit and watch TV. (Really must try hard at this one).
- I will learn Dutch!!
My last one is hopefully already off to a good start, tomorrow I have my first proper Dutch lesson class thing. I will be doing 3 hours twice a week plus homework so I must be really terrible if I don’t learn some Dutch!
I wish everyone good luck with their New Year resolutions, and maybe we can just manage to keep 1 of them!
